Detailed itinerary
Day 01
Arrival in Kathmandu: 15 -20 Minutes drive. AIT representative will greet you at Tribhuvan International Airport and transport you to your Kathmandu hotel. After having formal introduction, you are being served with welcome drink at the hotel. They will give you helpful tips for your time in Kathmandu. O/N Hotel
Day 02
Kathmandu sight-seeing tour & Trekking preparation. Today after breakfast we will start a guided tour to several major historical and spiritual attractions in Kathmandu. Some of these landmarks are considered World Heritage Sites; including the historic Durbar Square, the sacred Hindu temple of Pashupati Nath, the famous 'Monkey Temple' (Swayambunath) and Buddhists shrine (Buddha Nath) which is one of the large Stupas in the world. After completed city tour In the afternoon, there will be a pre-trip discussion where we can meet our trek leader and other team members. Day 03
Kathmandu to Lukla to Phakding:35 minutes flight and 3-4 hours hike. Early morning transfer you to Tribhuvan Airport by a Twin Otter flight to Lukla together with your Guide and Our other AIT,s trekking crew at Lukla will receive you. After final preparations, the trekking starts passing Chaurikharka village, and makes a descent towards the Dudhkosi Ghat (2,530 meters). The trail follows the precise edge of the Dudhkosi river until reach at Phakding. This first day is short for acclimatization reasons.
Day 04
Phakding to Namche Bazzar: 5-6 hours. Follow the Bhote Koshi through forest and pasture land, along a valley dotted with small Sherpa settlements. Cross the Bhote Koshi and climb steeply along switch-backing trail to large Sherpa village, views of Everest (8,848m) and Lhoste (8,511m) come into sight. This prosperous town is the largest in Khumbu. A traditional trading center, the Bazaar is held every Saturday. The goods on display are available. Thamserku (6,648m) and Kwangde RI (6,224m) become visible to the east and west, and the sacred mountain Khumbila (5,707m) dominates the skyline to the north behind the village.O'N stay at Namche Bazzar (3440 m)
Day 05
Namche Bazzar Acclimatize Hiking around Khumjung: 2-3 hours. Place less visited. After having lunch visit viewpoint for a panoramic view of Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Ama Dablam, Have a lunch on top of this panoramic view. Afternoon visit the Khumjung Monastery with the Yeti scoll and Sunsets over Himalaya can be unforgettable. Over night At at Namche Bazzar
Day 06
Namche Bazzar-Tengboche: 4-5 hours. Start gratually up and flat trails & slightly decending to Dudhkoshi at 3250m. Then a steep ascend will bring you to the famous Tengboche Gompa via many rhododendron forest and watching many Wild Goats (THARS)will be scrolled the hills in the background of Ama Dablam, Mt. Everest and other peaks.
Day 07
Tengboche-Dingboche: 3-4 hours. Today your journey is a slightly descent through lush forest, before the gradual climb up to the valleys highest year round settlement of Pangboche (3,860m). Continue ascending around afternoon through alpine meadows and yak herds, eventually reaching Dingboche
Day 08
Dingboche: An acclimatization day at Dingboche. There is a couple of side-trip planned from Dingboche, or you can rest. The side trip will wind up the valley to Chhukung for sensational views.
Day 09
Dingboche-Duglha: 3-4 hours. Today is a climb to Duglha (4,620m) where we will stay overnight to complete acclimatization. From here there are stunning views of Tawachee and Cholatse (6,440m).
Day 10
Duglha - Lubuche: 3-4 hours . The trail goes from Duglha directly up to the Khumbu Glacier for an hour, then left into the memorial area before reaching the village of Lubuche (4,930m). By this stage the effects of the altitude will be kicking in and you can expect colder night.
Day 11
Lubuche-Gorak Shep: 2-4 hours. The trail continues climb to Gorak Shep. It takes a couple of hours to walk up to the famous viewing point of Kala Pattar (Black Rock) at 5,545m this small peak offers the best sun set views of Mt. Everest, Pumori and Ama Dablam. Overnight in Gorak Shep (5,160m).
Day 12
Gorak Shep-Everest Base Camp- Lubuche: 8-9 hours. This day leads you finally to the Everest Base Camp (5,357m) walking through rocky and glacial trails where climbers gather for summiting Everest. Continuing the trek we'll return to Lobuje (4930m/12894ft) for overnight.
Day 13
Lubuche-Pangboche: 5-6 hours. The trek retraces halfway back and lunch at Pheriche. Finally the trek ends at Pangboche (3,860m), which lies on the bank of Imja Khola.O/N Lodge at Pangboche.
Day 14
Pangboche- Namche Bazaar: 6-7 hours. Now the trail retraces the same way back, stopping at Tengboche. During the November-December full moon the colorful Mani Rimdu festival is held here with much singing and dancing. Over night in Namche Bazaar (3,420m).
Day 15
Namche Bazaar- Phakding: 4-5 hours. Today the trail steeply descends to the Hillary Suspension Bridge and then continues on an easy natural trail. Overnight in Phakding (2,652m).
Day 16
Phakding-Lukla: 3-4 hours. And finally today the trail will lead you back to Lukla (2,800m). On arrival in Lukla you will have a time to relax.
Day 17
Lukla- Kathmandu: 35 minutes. After an early morning flight to Kathmandu, you'll transfer to your hotel. Finally there'll be an evening celebration dinner together.
Day 18
Departure: You could catch up on some last minute shopping, Internate to your friends and family before departure to Airport or onwards to your next destination.
